Phillip & Wendy Ware - nb Foamfollower
Foamfollower moors at Welton Haven marina on the Leicester Arm of the G.U. close to Norton Junction. If you're passing, you will see us moored right by the entrance, being used as target practice by boats entering and leaving. Good mooring though.
Foamfollower is 16 years old, and is a Colecraft hull with a (late lamented) Rugby boats fitout. We have a Thornycroft T80 engine.
We moored for 13 years at Calcutt, then lived aboard for a year+ at Saltford on the River Avon (Bath). We moved back to Calcutt but found all the new marinas around that area too much and shifted - hopefully far enough - to Welton Haven in January 2006.
Phil has boated for many, many years, more than he's prepared to admit, whilst Wendy is a rather more recent convert. We use the boat about every other weekend, usually for 3 days, and do most of our longer trips out of the summer season. Phil also manages to visit midweek on occasion to do office work - so if you are passing and see him sunning himself, that'll be waht passes for work!
