Michael & Angela Faull - nb Levick

Levick is a 54ft Traditional Josher Tug built by Oldbury Boat Services in 1994.  She is Powered by a Lister FR3 with a Blackstone Gearbox.  The layout is also very traditional with a tug deck leading to the saloon which has a multifuel stove.Followed by the Galley, Bathroom, Engine Room and a traditional boatman's cabin.  She is named after George Murray Levick who was the surgeon on Scott's Expedition to the Antarctic 1910-1913.

We started boating in 1978 on the Kennnet and Avon Canal and our cruising limits gradually increased as restoration progressed. It was a wonderful experience to witness the official opening from our own boat and be a part of the festivities. We had 19 years on the K&A cruising the whole length including two trips down to Bristol and mooring in the Floating Harbour.

In 1997 we moved to Braunston, mooring at Braunston Boats just below the bottom lock where we stayed until December 1999, when we moved to our present mooring in Napton Marina. We cruise as much as possible, work permitting, and have completed to date, The London Ring, The Grand Union, Oxford & Thames Ring, The Avon Ring, The Warwickshire Ring, The Gloucester and Sharpness Canal, The Ashby Canal, The Aylesbury Arm, and the Leicester Arm to Market Harborough. If you see us up the cut make yourselves known and we can share a beverage!
