Graham and Brenda Keens - nb Jannock

Jannock (previously named Powys) was built by J.L Pinder in 1996 for Black Prince Holidays who fitted her as a 'Duchess 4.2 Class' hireboat.

She was purchased by us in October 2000 whilst she was based at Festival Marina (Stoke on Trent). Although operated as a 4 berth in the Black Prince fleet, we have improved Jannock to accommodate 6 people.

Jannock is a cruiser stern, 62 ft (19m) all steel boat that is powered by a Kubota 1703 engine with a PRM 160 hydraulic gearbox.

Jannock has an offside mooring at Bourne End on the Southern Grand Union canal, but usually spends about 6 months of the year travelling the canal system. Being of steel construction with steel doors and no frills, Jannock is ideal for leaving on 14 day moorings until the journey continues.

Our trip reports are published as they happen at http://www.jannock.blogspot.com or visit http://www.jannock.org.uk for more information and trip archives.
